Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the BudgetReal mobile application and this website. BudgetReal is developed and operated by a solo/indie developer and is available on iOS and Android.

1. Acceptance of terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using BudgetReal, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app or this website.

2. Personal budgeting only — not financial advice

BudgetReal is a personal finance tracking tool for organizing your own income, expenses, assets, and liabilities. It is provided for informational and organizational purposes only.

BudgetReal does not provide professional financial, tax, or investment advice. We are not a bank, financial advisor, accountant, or tax professional. Nothing in the app should be interpreted as a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any financial product. You are solely responsible for your financial decisions.

3. User responsibility for data accuracy

You retain ownership of the financial data you enter into BudgetReal. You are solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of that data.

We are not liable for errors, omissions, incorrect calculations, or any losses resulting from inaccurate entries or reliance on information displayed in the app. You should maintain your own backups of important financial records.

4. Account registration requirements

Certain features require you to create an account using email and password or Sign in with Apple. When registering, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and current account information
  • Keep your login credentials confidential
  • Accept responsibility for all activity under your account
  • Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, provide false information, or are used for fraudulent or abusive purposes.

5. In-app purchases

BudgetReal offers an optional one-time purchase — BudgetReal Pro (also referred to as "Remove Ads") — that removes advertisements and unlocks lifetime Pro access.

  • All purchases are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and managed via RevenueCat.
  • Purchases are non-refundable except as required by applicable law or the App Store / Google Play refund policies.
  • Prices may vary by region and are displayed at the time of purchase.
  • Restore purchases is supported — you may restore a previous Pro purchase on a new device using the same store account via the in-app restore or Customer Center feature.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use BudgetReal for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or hack the app
  • Interfere with or disrupt the app, its servers, or its infrastructure
  • Use automated systems to access the app without permission
  • Impersonate others or provide false account information
  • Use the app in a way that harms other users or the service

7. Disclaimer

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that BudgetReal will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that your data will never be lost. The free version of the app is supported by third-party advertisements served through Google AdMob, as described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF BUDGETREAL.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the app shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or USD $10 if you have not made any purchases.

9. Changes to terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make changes, we will post the updated Terms on this page and revise the "Last updated" date. Material changes may also be communicated in-app. Your continued use of BudgetReal after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Slovenia, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Slovenia, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country require otherwise.
